Henry Eden
1677-1711
Henry Eden was baptized at St Oswald's Church, Durham, in September 1676. The son of Henry Eden, he went to school in Durham before entering Trinity as a pensioner, aged 16, in 1693. After becoming a scholar in 1695 he graduated BA in 1696-7, MA in 1700 and BD in 1708.
He was made a Fellow of Trinity in 1699 and University Taxor in 1702. He was ordained deacon in Lincoln in 1701, and priested the following April. He made a contribution of £30 towards Bentley's repairs of Trinity College Chapel in 1707. Eden died on 9th June 1711 and was buried at St Oswald's, Durham.
